Hello, everyone. The third day of walking was even muddier than the first. It was through some gloriously beautiful dehesa, filled with flowers...and a lot of flooded low areas. These flooded low areas were not rocky, they were dirt. Dirt that in the previous week's enormous rains had become soft mud. I could tell from the castle's tracks that even the local creatures weren't happy about it. At the end of about 12 km of that, we came to a road and walked on that to Oliva, the tiny village we slept in.
(Great sleep, the albergue was nice.)
The next day we walked to the remains of the ancient city of Càparra.
There is a visitor's center there, and some of the buildings have been excavated.
The crossroads arch was built as a memorial to the sponsor's parents, at the center of the city.
