Arrived at Santa Marta de Tera

Hello, everyone. We walked about 22km today, after 27.5 yesterday. We slept at Hotel El Roble in Tábara last night. Wonderful sleep, and wonderful Menú del Día for supper too. I had garbanzos soup, and Ternera which was stewed beef chunks. Tender doesn't begin to describe it. Dessert for me was plain yogurt, which I really like.

This morning we headed out about 8 and had a breakfast break about 11:30 at Villanueva de las Peras, a little village whose pear trees were in glorious bloom. It was too early to stop, so we kept on to Santa Marta. This may have been a mistake as there are no open restaurants on Sunday in the area. We will contrive as best we can and plan on a good breakfast in the first village tomorrow morning.

I think this was a heather shrub.

There are so many beautiful flowers blooming right now.
