Villambistia to Atapuerca

Hello,  everyone.  This is a post for yesterday's walk. Atapuerca was almost completely full when we arrived, and the place we found a room has no wifi. (That Thursday was the first day of a long weekend,  called a puente. Many Spanish people go out of town on long weekends and there are also a large number of pilgrims for April.) Likewise the bar in the village didn'tpost a wifi password. So this is the post that got to wait for connection.

We left Villambistia a little late because the proprietor of the rural hotel made us a lovely breakfast of pan tostada (toasted baguette) with tomatoes and olive oil. Her version uses thinly sliced tomato instead of chopped or pureed as some others do. It's all wonderful. She served cafe con leche to go with it, too. For that we can wait a little before leaving.

We visited the Atapuerca hands on museum which has touch friendly activities to see how the paleolithic people lived. Most of the finds from the cave at Atapuerca are actually in a museum in Burgos.

The walking was really nice, not too hot or cold, and not rainy.
